DAMASCUS adidas nmd chukka black suede , Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- The Islamic State (IS) group said it had taken two Russian soldiers in the countryside of Syria's eastern province of Deir al-Zour, the group's Amaq news agency reported on Thursday.

The IS abducted two Russian soldiers and a Syrian soldier in the town of Sholah in the western desert of Deir al-Zour, Amaq reported.

There has been no response yet from Damascus or Moscow about the kidnapping.

If the abduction was true, it would be the first time Russian soldiers were kidnapped in Syria since the Russian forces intervened to aid the government forces of President Bashar al-Assad in late 2015.

The road from Damascus to Deir al-Zour stretches through the desert region in the remote eastern countryside of Homs province in central Syria all the way to reach Sholah and Kabajeb in the countryside of Deir al-Zour before entering the city.

The Syrian forces and its allies captured Sholah earlier this month when they broke the IS's three-year siege on Deir al-Zour capital city adidas nmd chukka for sale , and cleared the main road to the city.

Several checkpoints are set up across the road, which is surrounded by large swathes of desert, which makes it easy for IS militants to sneak in, particularly when the sun falls.

When Xinhua reporters visited Deir al-Zour last week adidas nmd human race yellow , Russian military convoys were seen on the road, bringing in supplies and military gears.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said Thursday the Syrian army with the help of the Russians are tightening the noose on IS militants in Deir al-Zour, which was regarded as the most important stronghold for IS due to its proximity to IS-held areas in neighboring Iraq and its richness in oil and gas fields.

LONDON, May 27 (Xinhua) -- Jose Mourinho has been confirmed as manager of Manchester United from the 201617 season, signing a three-year contract with an option to stay at the Club until at least 2020, the club announced in a statement.

Mourinho, 53, has managed at the top level of European football for over a decade and in that time has won league titles and cups in four countries and regions (Portugal, England, Italy and Spain), as well as winning the UEFA Champions League twice - in 2004 with FC Porto and in 2010 with Inter Milan.

Ed Woodward, executive vice-chairman of Manchester United, said: "Jose is quite simply the best manager in the game today. He has won trophies and inspired players in countries across Europe and, of course, he knows the Premier League very well, having won three titles here.

"I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome him to Manchester United. His track record of success is ideal to take the Club forward."

Mourinho said: "To become Manchester United manager is a special honour. It is a club known and admired throughout the world. There is a mystique and a romance about it which no other club can match.

"I have always felt an affinity with Old Trafford; it has hosted some important memories for me in my career and I have always enjoyed a rapport with the United fans. I'm looking forward to being their manager and enjoying their magnificent support in the coming years."

Former Wales captain Dai Young has urged England to stick with their policy of only selecting home-based -players for international matches, saying Wales' decision to pick stars at overseas clubs had ""wrecked"" regional rugby in his homeland.

Young's comments came after the Australian Rugby Union (ARU) announced Wednesday it was relaxing its eligibility rules.

Previously, overseas-based players were barred from Wallaby selection but with the Australian game facing a mass exodus of stars such as Adam Ashley-Cooper, former skipper James Horwill adidas nmd human race red , Will Genia and Sekope Kepu following this year's World Cup in England, the ARU has softened its stance.

The ARU said the rules would be relaxed for players who have pulled on a Wallaby jersey more than 60 times and held a professional contract with Australian rugby for at least seven years.

England currently has a policy of selecting only players with one of the country's 12 Premiership clubs, save in ""exceptional circumstances"" only.

With the World Cup starting in September, there has been a debate about whether England should recall flanker Steffon Armitage adidas nmd human race black , the current European Player of the Year, who is with French-based Toulon - seeking to be crowned champions of Europe for the third successive season next month.

Young cited events in Wales, where attendances for regional or senior club rugby have nosedived in recent years, while key players such as Leigh Halfpenny and Jamie Roberts have taken up lucrative contracts adidas nmd human race for sale , as proof of what can happen when players are allowed to go abroad without damaging their Test prospects.

""You see falling crowds [in Wales], everybody wants to see their top stars. The games aren't as attractive with your top stars not playing,"" Young, now the coach of Premiership club Wasps adidas nmd r2 pink womens , told the BBC.

""You lose control over your players as well, as in their fitness, their condition and their welfare and so on,"" added former hooker Young adidas nmd r2 black white , capped 51 times by Wales.

""To me England's stance is absolutely right and they should stick to it, otherwise you will see the quality of the Premiership dwindle. I've seen it from Wales, and it's done much .
